I'M SAM

 

I’m Sam, an occupational therapist and founder of Your Own Story. In my work, I see it all the time: burnout, disconnection, people holding it all together on the outside while quietly wondering who they are underneath it all. Over the years, I’ve realised that so many of us are craving more than just coping strategies;  we’re craving space to reflect, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.

 

MY STORY

 

I’ve worked closely with families, individuals, and professionals through my therapy work, but I realised that so many of us, regardless of our roles, are carrying the same quiet weight: disconnection. From ourselves, from each other, and from the version of life we thought we’d be living by now.

Your Own Story is my way of creating space for something different. A place where we can pause, reflect, and ask the deeper questions, without needing to have all the answers. I bring together what I’ve learned through clinical experience, real-life burnout, navigating change, and my love of meaningful conversations (and good books).
